Dear Florida
Dear Florida is an ongoing photographic letter to the state I’ve called home.
More than a photography project.
Florida is more than a place on a map. It is a living landscape shaped by it’s many habitats, and the countless species that call it home.
Dear Florida is an ongoing photographic letter documenting both the beauty that remains and the changes reshaping the places I have known my whole life.
Through photographs and personal reflections, each story asks us to pause, look closer, and remember what is worth protecting.
Why I created Dear Florida
I began Dear Florida because I realized photographs alone couldn’t tell the whole story.
Every disappearing pasture, every shrinking wetland, every ancient oak carries a story worth remembering.
This project gives those places a voice before they become memories.

Each entry is a letter inspired by a place, a moment, or a question about Florida’s future.
Together they form an evolving archive of a state in transition.
